I’ll be exhibiting at Wizard World Chicago next weekend, so if you’re in the area, be sure to stop by and say hi. You can also help protect me from all the weird costumed people. I’ll have copies of the BREATHERS Graphic Novel for sale, as well as some T-shirts, prints and maybe some originals.

Breathers on TV?

The Breathers screenplay adaptation (written by Will Wallace & Adrianna McKinley) is a finalist in the Script Pipeline Competition. Out of over 3500 entries, it was chosen as one of the ten best. That’s nothing to sneeze at. Now, Will & Adrianna will get to pitch Breathers to a bunch of important people and, hopefully, we’ll all be watching Breathers on TV of in the theater very soon. Reel Chicago wrote up a little something about this, as well. Read it HERE.

I’ll be exhibiting at Heroes Convention in Charlotte, NC  June 3-5.  It’s been 3 years since I’ve been to this show, but I remember it having a really laid-back and comfortable feel.  I’m really looking forward to it.  I’ll have copies of the Breathers GN along, as well as some prints and original art for sale.

And, after the show, it’s family vacation time.  We’ll be heading to the NC Coast for some fun in the sun.

This weekend, I will be  traveling to NYC for MoCCA Fest.  I’ll be armed with copies of the “Breathers” graphic novel, as well as a bunch of art prints and original drawings which I will be more than happy to sell to you. So, if you’re there, make sure to stop by my table and say “hey.”

Here’s where I’ll be:

I’m looking forward to a fun, yet busy weekend in the Big Apple.  I plan on eating a lotta pizza pie!

Breathers Graphic Novel

Although I plan on “officially” debuting the BREATHERS GRAPHIC NOVEL in New York next week, I wanted to make the book available for you to buy online now.  I mean, why wait around, right?

So, you can order a copy of the new book here or through my ETSY SHOP.

Here’s a bit about the story:

The air is no longer safe to breathe.  A virus has been unleashed into the air, rendering it deadly to humans.  People have adapted to this world, wearing respiratory masks, or “breathers,” when they go outside.  They have adapted and life goes on much as it did before, although, with a very real fear of death looming over their every breath.

The story of Breathers follows a small cast of individuals as they struggle to make sense of the dystopian world they live in.  Among them: a detective whose addiction to the drug known as “Filter K” takes over his life.  A brother and sister who, due to recent events, start to wonder if the air really is deadly, or if it’s all just a conspiracy.  A mother and daughter who will do anything to keep their family together.  And a breather salesman who is looking to make amends for his past mistakes.  They are all survivors of this virus-plagued world.  They are all “breathers.”
